I am a Venezuelan-born, Boston-based multidisciplinary designer seeking a creative range; I am interested in exploring broadly and aim to find connections between the various disciplines that make up the wide design world. Trained as an Architect at Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar University, I received an MFA in Graphic Design from Boston University in May 2024. I am also passionate about the arts and crafts stemming from the folk art traditions of my Hungarian family heritage; therefore, mine is a life of personal and professional multiplicities that mix and match within my thoughts, inform my philosophies and views on life and design, and are reflected in my work.
I seek to understand differences with empathy while constantly searching for similarities and commonalities to create a sense of coherence and order. As a designer, the intersection of all three creative disciplines interests me, as they share a functional nature and aim to fulfill the needs of the human experience. Spatial poetry, connections with the audience, and the pursuit of a sense of belonging underpin my work, all symbioses between design and its audience.
I turn to Play for creative thinking and as a catalyst to find the balance between structure and emotion, constraints and creative freedoms, or to design for bi-dimensional and tridimensional realms, paired with a quest to experience color. I view design as a journey, a wonderous wandering path that often offers serendipitous surprises that teach me one more lesson about something I hadn’t seen before!
